Self Defense Institute), GM Sifu Wade Yamauchi is a 5th degree black belt instructor and studied with Professor Mateo for 10 years. He holds a black belt in Okinawan Goju-ryu and also trained in Aikido. He has studied martial arts for over 20 years.
Sifu Nate Garner
is a 3rd degree black
belt who started with Professor Mateo since
1996. He was the first Black Belt of Professor
Mateo.
He has studied other styles of martial arts and is presently living
in
Sifu
Sheila Feay-Shaw
is a 3rd
degree black belt forms instructor. She has been with
Professor Mateo for 5 years. She is our
forms/kata champion. Presently, she has
moved to Sifu Bill Maderas has trained in the Ed Parker Kenpo system, Tai Chi, Baqua Min, Wing Chun, and currently holds a 3rd degree black belt in forms/kata with Professor Mateo. He has over 30 years of martial arts experience and has trained with Professor for 3 years. Sibak Avon Richard Hines holds a 2nd degree black belt and has trained for 7 years in Kajukenbo. He has trained in Pray Mantis, 3rd degree Tang Soo Doo and Wun Hop Kuen Do. He has his own school in Seattle. Sibak Larry Greene is a 1st degree black belt. He is a Lt. Colonel with United States Army and currently stationed in Seattle. He has trained in the Ramos Method and with Mateo Kajukenbo. Sibak Antonio Escobedo is a 1st degree black belt and trained with Professor Mateo for 10 years. He has been our Kumite Champion beating bigger and taller fighters. Antonio was given the most improve martial artists title.
