Frank Mateo: Professor 8th degree red & black trim belt; under Co Founder Frank Ordonez Head Quarters of Hawaii, inc., KSDI (Kajukenbo Self Defense Institute), GM Gerry Scott-Scott Martial Arts Academy, GM Edmund Louis-Leeward Kenpo Karate Association. He has trained in the KAA of Kajukenbo 5^th degree Black & Red trim belt with Professor Brian Baxter, Tracy’s Kenpo-Jerry Samuelson, CHA 3 Kenpo under retired Associate Professor & Co Founder Frank Suan, Judo-Bob Nishii, Boxing-Palolo gym & Muay Thai-Thailand, Professor lived in Thailand for a year. He is a certified teacher in the state of Washington (Northshore School District) and is nationally certified as a strength & conditioning coach (University of Hawaii, Kamehameha Schools, O’Dea High School). Professor Frank Mateo also coaches baseball with North Seattle Baseball Association (NSBA), a former all star player in Hawaii, selected coach of the year by peers. He has trained military personal combat fighting and served in the Armed Forces and a Veteran of a Foreign War (VFW). He has trained Secret Service agent, Seattle Policeman, King County Sheriff, besides athletes (professional and novice) and the average person. Coach Mateo does personal/strength training in ball core, free & machine weights, Tai Chi, flexibility, kickboxing, boxing, and self defense and Muay Thai. His experiences extend as a personal trainer with Nautilus Fitness Center in Honolulu, Seattle Athletic Club, and Mieko’s Fitness.

Sifu Wade Yamauchi is a 5^th degree black belt instructor and studied with Professor Mateo for 10 years. He holds a black belt in Okinawan Goju-ryu and also trained in Aikido. He has studied martial arts for over 20 years.

Sifu Nate Garner is a 3rd degree black belt who started with Professor Mateo since 1996. He was the first Black Belt of Professor Mateo. He has studied other styles of martial arts and is presently living in Colorado with his lovely wife. They have a massage business together.

Sifu Sheila Feay-Shaw is a 3^rd degree black belt forms instructor. She has been with Professor Mateo for 5 years. She is our forms/kata champion. Presently, she has moved to Wisconsin to teach at a University.

Sifu Bill Maderas has trained in the Ed Parker Kenpo system, Tai Chi, Baqua Min, Wing Chun, and currently holds a 3^rd degree black belt in forms/kata with Professor Mateo. He has over 30 years of martial arts experience and has trained with Professor for 3 years.

Sibak Avon Richard Hines holds a 2^nd degree black belt and has trained for 7 years in Kajukenbo. He has trained in Pray Mantis, 3rd degree Tang Soo Doo and Wun Hop Kuen Do. He has his own school in Seattle.

Sibak Larry Greene is a 1st degree black belt. He is a Lt. Colonel with United States Army and currently stationed in Seattle. He has trained in the Ramos Method and with Mateo Kajukenbo.

Sibak Antonio Escobedo is a 1st degree black belt and trained with Professor Mateo for 10 years. He has been our Kumite Champion beating bigger and taller fighters. Antonio was given the most improve martial artists title.

Sisuk  Steven Haftfield is training for his black belt and formally trained with Professor A. Reyes in California for 2 years. He has trained with Professor Mateo for 7 years. He is our scientist at the University of Washington and transferred to the University of Penn where he will start a Mateo Kajukenbo club.
